Antec P182 - Which power supplies will and will not fit?

I am finally building a completely new computer and have a question regarding the Antec P182 case...

What power supplies fit and which do not?

I want a 650W+ power supply.

Suggestions?

I do not want to remove the fan located in the middle of the lower chamber.

Seasonic M12-700 fits with the lower fan in place.

I have an Antec True Power Trio 650 in there. Works fine but I would get a different power supply (one RMA later I know believe antec has cheaped out on their PSUs in the past few years).

It is just one RMA, hardly enough to judge PSU quality. If anything, their quality has gone UP since they don't use crap caps like they used to in previous models.

Someone over at XS had 2 PCP&C PSUs die. Does that mean that they are crap now? No, just goes to show that anyone, even the "best" can have some duds here and there (unfortunately in that guy's case he had 2 of them).

My OCZ 650 GameXtreme fits perfectly but the 120 fan blows down. But there are no issues with that and the PS is always very cool.

I also tried to install my larger P&C 750 quad and it fits no problem but I had to remove the fan brackat. I removed it anyway as it was simply in the way.

All current Corsair psu's will fit. In fact I use an HX520 in my P182. Any "standard" size will fit just fine.

Any standard size PSU should fit (5.5" deep). PSUs up to an inch or so deeper will work also. Once you get up to 7" deep, you'll start to impinge on the fan. Use a grill on the PSU side of the fan and the wires won't cause any problem.

You can get the 20mm thick Yate Loon fans from http://www.jab-tech.com to give a little extra breathing room.

I was thinking of the PC Power & Cooling 750 Silencer but was not sure if it would fit.

Another question... is this case really as quiet as they advertise it to be?

In my opinion it is a quiet as they show in the video on their website. I left all 3 of the stock fans at their default settings. I have the fan on the Tuniq cranked up all the way. I don't hear any of them. Generally all I can hear is the fan on the PSU unless I crank up the fan on the 8800GT above 50%.

Hey JSK07... nice setup... almost exactly what I want to build with exception of the motherboard (I think I am going to go for the MSI P35 Platinum).

Does the video card fit well? Is it a long card?

Got pics on the interior of your case?

the 8800gt fits easily in the p182 case, no problems at all.

you might have to have your hardrives in the lower bay though.

An 8800GTX fits as well, but you will lose the upper HDD slot in the upper bay to accomodate it (lower slot is fine though).

Buddy of mine just did a build with the P182 and a PCP&C 750 Silencer. He had to move the bottom fan from the PSU side of the bracket to the HD cage side of the bracket. He said he was also very pleased with the noise levels. Ive already ordered a P182 and PCP&C 750 for a build of my own.

yes, to fit larger power supplies you just have to switch the fan to the other side.. I've got an Ultra X3 1000Watt PSU and it fit fine when the fan is switched.. but it makes it a bit tight on the HDD side if your going to use it...

also I'd recommened getting two fan grills for the fan as you wouldn't want the PSU cables or HDD cables getting caught in it.. at least that's what I did, it requires a little bit of work to get the fan grill on the PSU side, you'll need to find slightly larger than normal fan screws, but the standard ones will work just not very tightly in there
