Face it up, I'm in the same problem too. My OCZ 520W will be upsidedown so the fan is facing up. I know Mellman has his Antec TruePower facing up also....
I would say up, since it's in the bottom of the case. And make sure to turn your bottom chamber fan so that it blows air from the HDD cage towards the PSU. The PSU fan will suck in the hot air and send it out the back. Perfect wind tunnel. 🙂
Would this really make a difference which way it is mounted? My installation is with the PSU facing downwards.
Reasoning (feel free to give your views cause this is just my thinking so is most probably wrong):
On stock setup for the p180 the lower chamber fan is already installed so that air is blown towards the PSU which is warm air from the HDD bays. So the way I'm picturing it (even tho it would most probably make little to no difference due the the space of the lower chamber) is that warm air rises right? So the air in the upper section of the lower chamber should be warmer than the air towards the bottom. So with the PSU sucking air from the upper section it would be sucking in warmer air than if it was sucking air from the bottom of the case.
It really doesn't matter as far as the psu itself is concerned.....what could matter though is where the cables exit the psu housing. It might work better one way rather than the other for ease of cabling the case.
