Antec P180 vs Lan-Li vs....

I keep hearing all sorts of good things about this P180....it strikes me as a good solution for those who want to overclock though and run a hot system....

I'm not interested in overclocking and I'm probably going to pick up a MSI K8N NEO4 with a standard AMD processor. Probably run 2 harddrives though which will be bittorrenting 24/7.

Anyways, so my question is, do I really need the P180 if I'm not super concerned with heat? Why is it so good and why is it so ugly? Is there a 2ndary solution that looks alittle cooler sacrificing some of the heat efficiency?

I have a Lian-Li on my existing setup which I really like but again, it's pretty ugly. I guess I could be convinced into a P180 if they are REALLY that much better than anything else. But we have to be talking Payton Manning/Dante Culpepper vs the rest of the field varience...

Oh, i forgot to mention that I want a midtower as I will only be putting in 2 harddrives and a DVD writer, or even a small cube would be nice to move around. Don't want to spend over 200.

If you think that the P180 is ugly you shouldn't get it.

I love mine because I am into quiet computing and the P180 has a great potential in that arena. On the other hand, if noise doesn't bother you, you can run the 3 fans it has at full speed and your system should run pretty cool even if overclocked.

The P180 is the case I always wanted to have and I am glad I have it now, I waited a long time for something like this to be built.

Well here's the thing, I don't need 4 BAYS. I only need 1. I would like a small ATX case.

The Antec and all of these seem alittle huge and wasted space. Is there anything smaller that I can fit 2 harddrives and a DVD burner into?

Maybe you should consider a SFF?

No, i need a regular sized motherboard. Plus SFF can't cool as well.

So what is a good small sized mid-sized tower. Is the Antec P180 a midsize or fullsize?

Then you are looking at the wrong SFF.

The P180 is a mid but barely, it's really big

This CoolerMaster looks pretty nice.

Why not get a desktop case instead of a mid-tower. Lian-Li makes a nice one and Antec makes a few if you like those brands. Silverstone makes some nice ones too. Any of them should be able to hold an ATX board, 2 harddrives and a dvd burner.
