Antec P180 VGA Duct Question

Okay, the air duct is useless for air channeling. I'm curious however about the empty room effect (empty room echos where a room filled with furniture does not). Would leaving the VGA duct in (no fan installed) help dampen noise somehow?

Try it both ways and find out. Honestly can't say myself, as the first thing I did was remove the duct and threw it away. Most people with the P180 would have the same story. Don't know of anyone that actually uses it.

Tried it both ways. With side panel installed, I can't tell a difference. The fan on my NV silencer 5 is quiet; that's the only thing the vga duct is sittiing in front of. I guess maybe with a loud stock VGA cooler, the VGA duct may capture a bit of noise. It's coming out.

Oh, I was going to use my old 430W Thermaltake PSU, but just ordered an Antec Neo HE 550W PSU.. Non-Asus MB.

I'm excited... :D

Be a sheep like the rest of us, ditch it. Keeping it in also makes upgrading any cards a pain, having to remove it all the time.

Can't use mine because it bumps into my Sapphire X800 GTO2 with a Zalman installed. I'd take it out anyways.
