I picked this case up a couple of weeks ago. It is super quiet and very cool but one bit of advice I wish I had going in: Purchase a P4 cable adapter such as this one as this is a very tight connection w/o it.

I ordered the case this morning (Sunday) and still haven't heard anything from Frys. I guess I expected them to be like NewEgg/Amazon/Directron and send me an immediate email confirming the order. Tuesday's the deadline for the rebate so I better get a sales order by this time tomorrow or I am backing out. I was in one of their B&M stores this afternoon trying to cut a deal for a MB and processor combo but they wouldn't come down even a penny. And all their Gigabyte DS3s in stock are returns. No wonder their listing price is $5 cheaper than anyone on the Internet. Some things never change. 🙂

anytime i order something from frys i always get the case before i get any kind of confirmation lol. Ordered mine last night... here's to hoping it comes!

ordered mine Sunday night - its being delivered tomorrow... the only thing that bugs me is, I put the wrong security code in for my credit card, and they still processed it..

Do i blame outpost or do i blame my credit card company?

FYI, the PDF file states the rebate is good through the 23rd.

Mine was shipped Saturday (was emailed and given tracking stating it would arrive Wednesday), free ground, they tried to deliver Monday and I missed it, should have it today! 😀

Just got mine. Came in a GIGANTIC Antec box. No apparent damage to the box and there is definitely ample styrofoam inside so I'm not concerned.

can anybody explain what do theymean by postmark by 23rd? (dumb question i know)

the invoice/reciept date gotta be =<23rd? the date on the rebate gotta be 23rd?
I just dont want to receive the case and not be eligible for the rebate, boy why are they so tight on deadline?

As long as the computer case comes undamaged, the box+ styrofoam did their job.

A rebate usually has two date requirements.

1- Offer date or purchase date or invoice date ......
It's the date you placed the order, as shown on the invoice or receipt.

2- Postmark date
It's the date stamped on the envelope by the post office.

This rebate for example requires you to place the order by November 23, 2006 and postmark it by December 23.

NeoHE 550 is a great PSU - as far as I know, its made by Seasonic. I picked it up for $69 on the last deal about a month ago and I've had no problems whatsoever. Eventhough its only an 80mm fan, its pretty much DEAD silent. Modular cables are a plus.

this psu wouldn't be my first choice. without meaning to discredit this guy... he only gives you his experience, which is absolutely useless. and so what that seasonic makes them?!

believe your research and the reviews. i used 18 neoHE 550's on client builds and have had to replace 6 of them. unacceptable. just yesterday, 2 have become loud. it's silent to start... until your system one day pushes its cooling threshold. get the tp-ii or trio. i use them to power 25 clients and servers, going 6-12months now, not a single problem. fyi, i use asus and msi mb's.

as for this case... thanks OP, perfect for the holidays. i know a few people thought this won't get cheaper if we waited a bit longer. fools *

edit
on the corsairs... my 2 nephews (gamers) use those exact models. i believe ~4 months now -- no problems powering their fx55's, x1900 xt, 2gb, 2x raptors, front panels, external boxes galore, plus water cooling and cathode goodies.

I suggest getting any of the Seasonic PSU. They're quieter, more efficient, and reliable than the NeoHE. I know NeoHE is made by Seasonic, but the components are not of the high quality in the Seasonic branded one. Head over to SilentPCReview to read the reviews on the NeoHE and Seasonic.

I think skipping straight to this poll is probably more helpful:

Ouch.

I for one, gave up on Antec after my TruePower 550W blew it's fan rail out and started acting very funky (blowing fuses). I wouldn't have cared if Antec had just actually replaced it under warranty but they ran around in fun circles with me (seriously, they could have easily looked up the serial # to verify that it was well within their 3 year warranty period-the stupid line wasn't even existent for 3 years at that point).

Now, to be fair, the TruePower fell victim to a motherboard that decided that rebooting in a loop would be fun, but you'd think with a power supply with such a great reputation that wouldn't be a problem.

Ordered mine Saturday night, arrived by Monday with their free shipping. It's definitely a nice case, ordered two additional 120mm fans for the front since they don't have them installed there by default. It comes with three fans installed, which are very nice. Only thing so far is the power supply cabling is a bit tricky, but haven't had any problems with it so far. Good case, and have my old case already sold to cover the cost after rebate. 😀

Ordered mine Saturday, arrived Tuesday with free shipping. Nice case, extremly heavy, but alot quiter then my last antec case. Very happy with it.

Anyways, I know this deal is dead, but I'm just posting to ask if you would prefer this at $69.99 or the Antec Solo at $50, lol. On the off chance either one of the deals come back I'm thinking about getting one to quiet down my system a little. I have a really really really old Chieftec (the kind that's in the same style that Antec used to use, and that I see Ultra still making). It's not a bad case but sometimes it rattles/buzzes now if I put in the hard drive cage, which is obviously very annoying (since my RAID feature on the motherboard went nuts anyway I just took the drive cage out).

Err, point is, I'm buying a replacement motherboard instead of building a new system like I originally wanted to (lack of $$), so I guess the drive cage has to go back, and I know that buzzing will drive me insane. So...I need a new case lol.

Can't you use somthing like rubber bushings (or if really cheap, duct tape) between the cage and case to muffle the vibrations? Even cheaper.

Does anyone have the rebate pdf for the silver one. I ordered this last week but completely forgot to print out the rebate. Can someone please send it to me or send me a link for it?

Hey, sorry to bump an old thread, but I was about to mail in my rebate when I saw that I had the rebate saved for the p180B when I in fact bought the p180 silver, does anyone have a link to the rebate for that product? I bought my case on 11/18.

Edit: Nm, did some crafty internet searching and found it.
