Hey guys, I am really confused about the orientation of the LED that come from the case and go into the mobo. The case manual says the white wire is the ground but the mobo manual mentions nothing about "ground" wires and only talks in "+ and -" of pins. So which way do the power LED, reset sw, and power sw go in?

Also, I have 4 GB of PC6400 RAM, but I am planning on installing Vista 32-bit for driver support reasons. I understand that only 3 GB will be recognized but will this affect my dual channel memory capabilities since I'll have 3 sticks seen instead of the 4?

Thanks guys!

I dont think the orientation matters for the power and reset switch. As for the power led, if it doesn't work, just switch it around.

white = + for my last build 2 weeks ago, antec case to an abit board.

dual channel mode will be enabled, windows just won't be able to fully allocate all that system ram for 'good' use.

white is positive? but it says white is "ground" someone told me on IRC that ground is negative. Really confused on this, I dont want to fry my mobo or leds.

None of the switches have enough power to fry anything. The worst is that you could short a connection, making it power on or something... If it doesn't work one way, switch it to the other way.

"-" = "negative" = "common" = "ground"

"+" = "positive" = "vcc" = "power"

Again, for the reset and power ATX switches, these don't matter. For LED's, just look at the rest of the wires. The common color is "ground"/"negative." So, for example, if you have a yellow/white pair, blue/white pair, green/white pair, red/white pair, and black/white pair, then the colors are positive, while the white wires are ground.

//edit: no, that won't fry your case lights
