I wasn't sure because the Gigabyte Silentpipe 7600 gt has no fan, where as other 7600 gts do. The p180 has no intake fans in its default config and the card relies on cool air since its passive.

I have the exact same case and have ordered the exact same card. That was aug 10th, it'll be here on the 16th or 17th. I'll let you know how it goes.

you should be fine at most you may want to add a fan where the top hard drive cage sits. i moved one from the back to an intake at the front because i'm using the back spot to mount a radbox

Should the fans be hooked up to the PSU or the mobo for the best cooling? I'm guessing that it would stupid to have the mobo control the fans when each one comes with its own control.

The fans that came with my P180 only had 4pin molex connectors on them -no 3pin fan headers so you can only connect the fans to your psu.

Natethegreat is correct, there is only the 4 pin power connector so hooking them up to the mobo is impossible (unless there is an adapter cable, if they exist). However, if you have an antec power supply do NOT hook the top and rear ones up to the "Fan only" power connector - if you do this the fans will only turn on when the power supply is hot, which in the p180 would be useless due to thermal isolation. The bottom fan is fine to hook up to the fan only power though. Then again, this is all kinda unecessary because the tricool fans let you pick high, medium, and low to begin with. I cannot say for sure as i've never powered up the fans, but high should be good enough to cool your vid card, and if it isn't buy another fan and put it on the upper hard drive cage.
