Hi,
What did you do with the rat's nest of single pin connectors that are attatched to the front panel audio connector? My board (Asus A8N-Sli Premium) has the header for the big connector so the single connectors aren't needed. I wonder what would happen if you cut them off? Why they didn't just include an adapter instead of pigtailing those things I'll never know.

How flush is the front of your drives (floppy, CD/DVD etc) when you mount them? I've just started so I've only installed the floppy so far, mine is not quite flush. It sticks out just a little, but I think trying to modify the rails to get it flush would be a major pain.

**Note**: I had some problems at first becuase the little plastic tab that fits in the hole of the metal part of the rails wasn't bent down enough. It didn't engage the hole and hold the metal part in the right place so I had to align the metal part with the tab and then press it down with the blade of a screwdriver to get it to fit into the hole.

Thanks,
BGC

All my drives are flush, I used the first screw on both sides. As for the audio connector... I was thinking the same thing with my A8N Deluxe.

I hid the single pins very easily behind the upper HD cage....actually tucked them up behind the 5.25 cage. Just play with the flushness. All 3 of mine are flush and I haven't heard of any1 having issues with this. Trial and error. 😉

The single pin audio connectors on mine are only about 3 inches long, they come out of the back side of the larger 9/10 pin audio connector so there is no hiding them. I can either zip tie them to the main cable or cut them off.

When attaching the rails to the floppy I have (Mitsumi), there was no play at all. The only way to 'adjust' it would be to elongate the holes in the rails a little or possibly try to pound back the little tabs the rails bump into when you slide the drive into the case. It doesn't stick out much but I might get a different floppy and use the one I have in another system I have to build.
