Antec P160 question

How wide are those recessed ovals in the side panel? Anyone know offhand, or willing to take a moment to slap a ruler up to the panel to take a measurement?

Also, how is the included fan? Antec rates it at 27 dBA, I'd like some real world opinions though.

Thanks!

Each oval is 3 inches wide. The front of the case is very open so if the front fan is running full speed you certainly hear a "swoosh" of air thru the front filter area. Antec recommends not using the front fan if concerned about noise - I have both front and rear fans connected to the fan-only connector of my Antec power supply and the case is very quiet.

Thanks for the info, fellow bag-head 🙂 3" is good as I was wondering how the panel might accommodate an 80mm blowhole mod. My idea may work, I'll see when I get the case. I'll try out the included fan as an intake and if it's too whiny, I'll replace it. The back fan is gonna be a 120x38 Panaflo.
