Can you buy this case w/o PSU? I bought one from frys last week and PSU was very loud.. also fan spun up and down very annoying. Then it failed shut down my comp while playing HOMM5. I bought another this weekend and it failed too. Guy at return desk said these come back all the time. As a matter a fact there were 6 boxes of them in back with "return to vendor" stickers on them he said, now 7 retuen to vendor.

It's really a great case..hidden DVD drives... Suspended HDD's which make them silent .. 120mm fan cooled.. etc. Really want the case and would like to put a S12 600W seasonic in there.

I think the Antec Solo is available PSU free. Otherwise you can check out the Lian Li PC-7B; it's on sale regularly at Newegg and is a much nicer case in my opinion.

Solo is black. Solo doesn't have hidden DVD drives. Lain Li hard mounts HDD's and is black too. Sorry only P150 will satisfy. I will just buy another P150 and toss PSU if I can't get confirmation if it's sold w/o PSU or not. Kinda wasteful but at least I'd get the case I want.

As far as i Know the P150 isn't sold w/o PSU.

There is a PC-7 that is silver, brushed AL. You can also purchase matching AL drive covers for optical drives. Soft mounting the hard drives is also possible with a bit of handy work.

If you do pickup another P150 sell the PSU or at least keep it as a spare.

Thanks Operandi...Any ideas what to use for suspension if I get the PC-7? Antec has this nice durable rubber bungie stuff. If I could find that stuff I could mod the case I think by removing the drive bays and placing drives vertically... Problem is I have 4 HDD's so maybe one will have to go into 5.25" bay and three hanging vertically in front of 120 front fan.

I do like Lian Li.. have 2 cases of thiers so it's definity an option if I could outfit it like P150. I have dynamat laying around garage I could coat panels with for barrier loading and sound blocking.. only problem is HDD vibration as I see it.

I soft-mounted (not suspended) the three hard drives in my Lian Li PC-6070 using EAR soft-mounts so I'm sure you could do something similar.

I can go into more detail later if you want and probably get some pictures in a few days since I'll be taking this machine apart to replace a couple of capacitors that are starting to fail on my motherboard.

I would like that. And if you know what material is good for suspension I'd appreciate low down there too.
