Antec NSK 3300 SFF case review

Well I posted the review I did of the Micro Fly last month and besides one person, people seemed to like that was providing information about new SFF cases. This new one I reviewed is by Antec and is a mini-tower. A really nice case if you are in the market for a mini-tower.

Read the review here and let me know what ya think or if I can help out with anything!

Next week I got a review of the SG01 which Anandtech already did but I will try to add some new stuff to make it interesting. After that I hope to review the NSK 1300 which is to replace the aging Antec Aria. Have a good weekend everyone!

After some research, Seasonic appears to be the OEM for the SFX power supply used in the NSK-3300. It bears an uncanny resemblance to the SS-300SFD 80 Plus, which performed very well on the SPCR testbed.

And good job on the review, very well done. The sound measurements are nice. Is the "average dB" sound power weighted on the A scale (i.e. dBA)? From what I understand (which is probably very little, lol) this scale relies most heavily on the sound power at frequencies the human hearing is most sensitive to, so it should be the most useful for those who are interested in the perceivable noise of the cooling system, and not how loud it would be to a dog, cat, etc. 🙂

I actually have this case sitting beside me, waiting for a Yonah motherboard to install in it. Have owned many Antec cases over the last few years, and haven't been disappointed with one yet. Great quality, good looks, and pretty quiet out of the box. What more could you ask for? 😉

it appears to be the same one. We will see what Guru has to say about it!

As for the sound...I will ask my sound guy how that works. The sound lab is used for measuring headphones (using human subjects) normally so I assume it is probably best for the human ear.

Thanks for the info and interest!
