Antec Nine Hundred - PSU fit question

I have this PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower fan on underside

and am looking at the psu area: Antec Nine Hundred PSU area view

It doesn't look like there'd be any gap for the psu fan to suck air in. Surely with all the bottom fan psu's out there it has to work though. Help, I want to buy this case..

You can install it with the fan up or, as some have done, cut a hole in the bottom. Here's a pic of my Antec 900 with a Corsair 620W (bottom fan) installed. Pic Only problem I found was that I had to double back on the SATA HD power cables since they only fit one way.

Yup, the PSU mount on the 900 is bi-directional.

You want at least an inch of clear space on the fan side if there is no nearby vent, so the PSUs with large fans need to be mounted fan up in the 900 (unless you are willing to cut a vent hole in the bottom of the case as mentioned above. There are cases that are designed to allow for a bottom PSU with the fan down like the Cooler Master 690, etc., but not the 900.

Yeah...if he's looking to buy a case, he could buy my CM690 complete w/4-140mm fans, 3-120mm fans & a 80x15mm fan, huh Zep? 😉

. Did you see that there is a good deal going on the Ultra m998? $40. instant discount at T-D and the CompUSA web site has about the same deal - similar at PC Connection too. Still a nice box - and it comes with WHEELZ... 😉
