$45 rebate looks good. My real question is there seems to be a lot of bad reviews on it on neweggs site. A lot of people complain of DOA and failure. Anyone have experience with this PSU? Should I get it regardless of some of the reviews?

It's cheap. It's made by Seasonic IIRC. But as an Antec hater (my SP500 had ripple out of ATX specs and was probably leaking brown electrolyte), I wouldn't touch it. Spend a bit more on a VX450 from Corsair.

I had the 430W version and it was a decent PSU and Seasonic made to boot. Most of the DOA problems were due to incompatibilities to certain motherboards, but newer revisions seemed to have solved it.

Antec Neo HE 550W ? The Neo HE is a great example of how spending just a little more can pay huge dividends. For less than $20 more than an EarthWatts, you get a five-year warranty, efficiency that's nearly as good, modular cabling, and an additional 50 watts of output capacity. Only the Neo HE's relatively high noise levels keep it from an Editor's Choice award, but it's good enough for an effective silver medal, our TR Recommended designation.
