This is a great deal! The previous cheapest I've seen, has been $40.00 shipped.

Amazon will not have these units in stock 'till Jan 31st, and the rebate is good 'till Jan. 27th. I don't think that will be a problem, but can somebody confirm that the rebate will be valid?

I dunno. This one could be good. I have seen rebates that are only good when the item is bought directly from Amazon.com. Buying from an affiliate didn't work.

I tried this enclosure out last week and the fan was very, very noisy. After doing some more research, it seems that some folks get quiet ones and some get "chainsaws". There is some speculation that Antec has changed the fans with the more recent units. I sent mine back and got an Apricorn Ez-Bus esata which is much quieter...
I am jusy passing this along so that you know that it is a roll of the dice...

ps- I have a Solo from Antec that I love and have no axe to grind. I was disappointed that the mx-1 did not live up to the reviews. you can check out the forum at silentpcreview.com...
