Antec KS282 vs.SX830

Anyone able to give me a comparison of these two cases, i.e. quality, quite fans, etc.

Also, how would the 282 compare to the Enlight 7239?

I've built systems in both, and I would highly recommend the 830. It dosent get any better than the easy on/off side panel 😉 In all seriousness, you won't regret either, but the 830 is easier tow work on. It's roomier, and the fans arent that loud. It really is a joy to work on.

I really like my SX830 and I would recommend it to any overclocker or tweaker, since it`s so easy to access.

correction: I meant the Enlight 7237!!

By the way, I think the 282 has removable side panels, but don't know if it uses the same quite fans. I can buy the 282 $40 cheaper than the 830. Would this make a difference?

You have to decide what's important.

I have a KS282 and its a nice case but the 830 is bigger and better.

The KS282 has room for two fans but comes with none. I think the 830 has room for 4 fans and comes with 2 (someone else correct me if I'm wrong)

But if price matters, then, IMHO you can't go wrong with the KS282 at the Onvia price from the Hot Deals thread.

Hmm... Maybe I should read posts instead of thread titles 😛 You got me all excited because I got to talk to my favorite case. 🙂

Thanks for the replys. Since cost is not a major issue the 830 sounds like the way to go. Wish someone would have made some comments vs. the Enlight. Unfortunatly most of the resellers of MB's are not selling the Antecs so I'll have to pay additional shipping to get one.

I have both an Enlight 7237 and an Antec SX830. I replaced the 250w in the Enlight with an antec 303X ps, same as the 830 and am quite pleased with both. However, the 830 is a big step up from the enlight, both in terms of quality and roominess. The enlight is only deeper than a mid tower while the 830 of course, is deeper and taller and the side panel is very handy. The box is quiet and cool, while the enlight is a little noisier because the fan has to rev up more to cool. This could easily be an ambient temp thing rather than a case issue. I use one in and one out fan in both systems and have similar setups. They're both nice but the 830 is more and you'll be happier if you can spend the extra money.
