antec KS188+PP303X what is different from the sx 1030? if it has a 300wat smart Power supply

I was searching to buy several Items to be shipped to hawaii and both buye.com and outpost.com do not carry the antec SX 1030 but instead cary the KS188+PP303X

SMART POWER SUPPLY RUNS COOLER, QUIETER. this is nearly the same description as the sx 1030 but is a little more money and has more bays but is the case as easey to access anyone own this case and know the sx 1030?

the antec site requires me to register and takes 48 hours to check me out just to get specs on the site (( NUTZZZZZZ!!

hope somone knows also do u know where I can get a TDK burner with and antec sx 1030 cause I can get this above case and the burner from both the vendors but neither has athlon chips nor the abit kt7a-raid

I had a KS188--check the link in my sig for pictures, I recently replaced it with an sx1030.

As far as ease of use, IMO the sx1030 is easier to get into, and it has cool drive rails--which makes it easy to pull out your 5 1/4" drives. The KS188 takes a little modding to make ventilation and access better. Both cases are on the large size.

Also the KS188 uses the same chasis as the AOpen HX/HQ08, just has a different front bezel. So if you can find pix of that case...

I think you would be happy with either, but happier with the sx1030.

Don't know what your talking about on the whole registering thing there buddy, Antec's site has no such thing that I've seen. Here is some direct links to the two product pages

There are really a lot of differences between the two...more than can be described in one post actually. The biggest things that make the SX1030 better in my mind are.

1. Dual fans right behind the processor to vent heat directly away.

2. Quick open side door.

3. Great drive cages.

4. Best drive rails I've ever used.

5. Better cooling all around.

These are just my thoughts so take them as you will.

Thank u both MaxPower and ericd and ericd I used www.antec.com and it prompted me to register to get specs from the company, donno what else to say... I do have a bachelor's in physics math and engeneering and am sure I would have gotten the information if it was obvious.

Stingygrrl is correct, www.antec-inc. is the right url.

Shipping to Hawaii is brutal, as I understand it. Check all over the islands before you order, I seem to recall someone posting that they had obtained a sx-Antec from a local Hawaiian shop, at a decent price.

Other online vendors I like include:

They may be able to accomodate, dunno...

I have vissited these two vebdors and I recall that either they were exhorbitant in shipping or had some items and not others. I was going to get the ATI all in one wonder Radion 32 DDR and the antec and either wait for new MOBO or get the abit KT7A-Raid but yesterday I read on another site that there is an inability of the AIW card to record more than several minutes of video and that he had sent ATI documentation on that and that the problem seems to be limmited to that card and The Via KT133 chip set for quite a few other ppl. and I also want to get near a full system of a burner hard drives and memory from either crucial or one other vender. Because I do not want to have many shippers I hoped to find one that has many items I seek. I found one called ibuyer.com (not buy.com) they have the sx1030, the Abit-kt7A-RAID they have the TDK 12x10x32 Burn POroof burner and I cannot recall if they have a good price on the AMD T-bird 1.2, I thgink they have a wide selection of drives (I was uinable to finnish looking and have to resume today seeing what they have.
BTW outpost.com has stopped shipping to hawaii and Alaska (( as of February 1, 2001, they shipped me a barricade SMC Router and 3 network cards very reasonably priced and free shipping anly 2 weeks ago...
So anyone that is in Hawaii if u know what vender and what Island that SX1030 was purchased from let me know, please. Or any other reasonable Vender, since in hawaii reasonable venders are hard to find, and usually we buy from Costco, however, costco is not diverse nor has what I like in a system nor parts and their mail order online is more expensive that the majority of the other online venders ( I wonder why they do not ship to hawaii with the other products to their local warehouse in kona on the BigIsland where I live instead of UPS or Fed-EX, I would not mind the wait of the several weeks it takes to ship by their mass shipment routs that would reduce shipping costs) they presently ship direct to customers 2nd day air.

my Gfriend has a father and 2 brothers in Portland Oregon, and the thought crossed my mind several times ) buy I aim to inquire into it. Like insurance and Post office reliability use to be poor. I will try and see if I can deal with veners that do not make profits on shipping or make the price rediculously high, as if to say I do not like shipping to hawaii, u want it u pay me through the nose or get TFK out of my sight ), as well as have a selection of many items I want to purchase few have more than 3, crossing my fingers, and last resort may be chancing the Sitka suggestion.
