Antec, Enermax, or other?

I'm running on a piece of crap power supply and need to get something pronto. Is Enermax better than Antec or the other way around, and is anyone better than the two.
Thanks for any input.

Isn't powmax what the deer power supply company named themselves after too many power supplies blew up?

I'm thinking about an Enermax 550watter. Good idea or bad idea?

Zippy/EMACS... ugly, powerful power supplies. Not overly pricey either.

Take a look at the Fortron-Source power supplies with the 120mm cooling fans. I've used a couple of them and never had a problem 🙂

L3p wtf ever your name is, neffing worthless advice is stupid. Go troll somewhere else if you want to be like that.

i would go the enermax route over antec (which i do like and am impressed with). over enermax i would go seasonic and over seasonic i would go pc&p. 🙂 they are all good, but if you have to buy a new one, you may as well upgrade at the same time.

I still have my enermax from 5 yrs ago and it still has the strength to power my current system. Switched it out since it had extremely long cables so I put it in my server case adn got a cheap antec one.

Buy a Powmax. they're the best in the business

i hope you are kidding?

What, they are!

Don't listen to these guys. Buy Powmax, you'll never be unhappy!

lol, mine actually lasted three and a half years before becoming unstable. Now I'm on a MGE.

EDIT: Then again, it was a Leadmen or whatever those are called, which were supposed to be the best of Powmax's power supplies.

This thread should go in General Hardware or Cases and Cooling, but I'd recommend Antec or PC Power and Cooling power supplies.

OR, get a Powmax and make sure that your property insurance coverage is up to date 🙂
