First time system build. Case is Antec NSK6580B with a <Antec EA 430 PS. MB is Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3LR. CPU is Intel Pentium E5200 Wolfdale 2.5 Ghz LGA 775 65W. Graphics card is EVGA GeForce 8400 GS. Memory is G-Skill DDR2 2x1 GB PC2 6400. 2 WD 160 GB 7200 RPM SATA 2 HDD to run in RAID 1. There will be a DVD/RW and a floppy drive.
System will be used for light Office applications, internet. No gaming. No graphics work. I did a power needed survey on Antec's website and my configuration netted a basic 272 watt usage. As of now, no over-clocking anticipated. If I do OC, it will be a maximum of maybe 3.2 Ghz. From what I've been able to determine this should be quite easy to achieve with the E5200.
This power supply has 2-12V rails rated at 17 AMPs each (as far as I can tell). My concern is that the EVGA card recommends that the 12V should be 20 AMPs minimum. I'm a noob about power supplies (and system builds!) so I don't know how the PS allocates power.
Will there be any problems with the EVGA vidcard? Any other power supply concerns given this configuration and usage?
Thanks very much for any assistance.
