Antec Customer Support

Leros

I've heard awesome things about Antec's customer support, so when I had problems with my Antec NeoHE PSU, I wasn't too worried. I emailed them and got a "trouble ticket." I explained my situation to them: I built a new PC, but it only turns on if I turn the PSU off for a few seconds. I borrowed a PSU from another computer and everything powered up normal. Seems to be a PSU problem, namely the Antec PSU I purchased seems to be defective.

Three days after emailing Antec, I get a reply with a link to a PSU wattage calculator. They think I may be underpowered. Alright, this seems like logical troubleshooting. So I run through the calculator. It says I need 336 watts, the PSU is 500w. I reply to Antec telling them this. Two days later, they send me an email asking me if I can test my motherboard. First, that would be a really big hassle and I don?t really have time to take my entire computer apart. Second, I already tested another PSU and it worked fine. Third, I don't even have another motherboard to test with. I reply, telling them this. After another three days, they respond telling me that there is basically nothing they can do for me because they have no other reported problems with my PSU and mobo (NeoHE 500w and DFI Lanparty Ultra-D).

I thought Antec had awesome support. Guess not. Not only did it take forever to get a reply, but they were hardly helpful.

That's too bad they didn't help you out. I've had great experience with them. They sent me new parts for my case 100% free of charge.

I bought the parts at Newegg, who told me to talk to Antec about a replacement.

I've had problems with them. I tried to RMA a power supply and when I did, some guy told me to call him before it would be RMAed. He would never answer. I left messages for weeks.

They get no more of my money.

I had zero problems. They even went so far as to send me another piece I needed for a case that was out of warranty. Their service is top notch!

Me too. I didn't even have to provide any proof of purchase...

I sent them another email explaining my dissatisfaction with the customer service. The reply came back in 2 hours (not the usual 2 or 3 days). Here it is:

"That is all we can do. Also, try contacting DFI for more information on your board since that is a new model."

I feel shafted. I have a defective power supply and they won't do anything about it.

That sucks...

Have you tried the Antec PSU in another PC?
