Antec/CompUSA Rebate

Did anyone take advantage of the $30 MIR on the Antec PlusView 1000AMG when purchased from CompUSA from 5/2 - 5/8? I sent the rebate in the following week and still have not seen it. When I contacted one of the rebate centers they had no record of this deal. So, does anyone know where this rebate went? I really don't remember and did not think to make a copy.

Thanks.

P.S. I don't know what forum would be best for this post...

Rusty, a prime example why I refuse to do the rebate thang. Good luck on getting it, though. You'll need it. 😀

I have done a lot of rebates with a lot of success. However without a photocopy, you have some troubles.

You will need to get the following:
1) A copy of the invoice. This will be the most difficult since it is specific to you. Your name, address, etc.... I have been able to print off invoices and such from the webites of the resellers in the past.
2) A copy of the UPC. You can get this relatively easily. Ask someone here who did make copies to scan and send it digitally to you.
3) A copy of the rebate form. Hopefully, it is still on the website. My guess is that it isn't since this is a good way for the rebate company and reseller to make it more difficult to get the rebate. They typically make the forms unavailable after the deal expires.

If you can get these, then you can send them to the rebate company when they ask for photocopies.

If you can't get these then you are probably out the $30 rebate.

In general, photocopy everything when you send in a rebate (even the UPC). In addition, put a signature return receipt on the package if the rebate is over $50. That way someone at the rebate fullfillment company has to sign when your submission arrives so you have proof of the submission arrival.

Update: 7.26.2004

Well I should have been more patient. The rebate showed up in the mail Saturday morning. Thanks for the help though, just in case it did not show.
