I have an antec 1080amg case. On the side panel there is a place to mount an 80mm fan that would blow on the video card.
I had an adjustable speed fan that I would keep low for surfing & full for gaming which was around 4500rpm. The end came off the wire that plugged into the adjuster knob so now it runs at full blast all the time.
I recently replaced it with a panaflo that is rated around 3000rpm & I noticed the temps increasing which I'm assuming is because of the less air flow because of the slower rpm.
I have started checking into getting one of these & go with a 120mm fan so I can get the extra air flow & hopefully without the extra noise a high rpm 80mm.
80 to 120 adapter
Has anyone used or seen one in person? I'm trying to figure out if there would be enough room between the side panel & the video card to use this with a 120mm fan.
