antec and chieftec

Are the ANTEC Performance PLUSVIEW Model PLUSVIEW1000AMG and the CHIEFTEC Server Chasis (Aluminum Workstation Tower) Model AX-01BLD the same case? Same manufacturer? Same quality?

The chassis is the same, but the front plastic bezel is slightly different. Chieftec manufacturers the cases for Antec.

They should be of the same design and layout, except the Antec is a steel case. I'm pretty sure they're just rebadges from a common manufacturer; can't remember if discussion ever settled for sure exactly who makes these things. As far as quality goes, complaints about either brand is rare at most.

Addendum: Oh, except the plastic front door on the Antecs seem to have an annoying habit of breaking off if you're not careful; that's probably the biggest complaint.

Chieftec and Antec cases are made by Chenming. You may also find them in the US under the name Uneec.
