Antec 900 PSU mount

Im trying to determine whether i should mount my Corsair PSU in the Antec 900 fan down or fan facing up? Installed fan down, it is pretty much flush with the floor of the case, so im worried it wont be able to suck any air and cool properly. Yet when i read some online reviews, they mount the PSU fan down. Those with this case, what do you suggest? Thanks.

Mounting the fan down will send all the hot air from the psu inside your case... if thats what you want go right ahead.

when it comes to this case, the only way for the PSU to get proper cooling (and the only way the screwholes would fit) is for the fan to face up. how difficult can that be?

OP: you made a good choice with the Corsair PSU because the modular cables help a lot in this case. OCZ GameXStream 700W + Antec 900 + 3 Yate Loon D12SL-12 + 2 HDD = wiring hell. just got done setting one up with us3rnotfound and I have to agree with a lot of other people here....it's one cramped case.

Uh buh buh...the Antec 900 actually has ways to mount the PSU both ways so I'm gonna have to retract my previous statement. If you have a 120mm fan, you obviously want it to face up because that's the only way it will get adequate cooling. However, if you have a PSU with single or dual 80 mm fans mounted on front/rear of the unit, then you can have it either way and it will function fine. Hope that clears things up for ya.

fan faces up, fool.

AHJAHAHAHAHAHAHA... never seen rally get this worked up b4...

With the PSU in the bottom, unless there is an air intake grill in the bottom as in the original Stacker the fan faces up. Glad RM caught the ambidextrous PSU mount - unfortunately only after blowing chunks all over the noob. But there are still PSUs that flow from front to rear and those could go either way - all being equal, I like the main PCB in the PSU to be on the bottom side.
