Just had a quick question about the antec 900 case. I'm about to do a new build for my parents and just wanted to know peoples opinions on this case. Easy to work with? good quality? Also, will it be able to fit long graphics cards (EVGA GTX 260's) come to mind. Any experiences with this case or recommendations for a similar easy case to work with would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

I've had my Antec 900 for roughly 4 years. It's a great case. Hiding cables is difficult and the side fan may get in the way of tall aftermarket coolers. I had to remove the side fan in order to fit a Coolermaster V8. It will fit long graphic cards easily. I'm running two GTX 285s in mine.

As mentioned above, it's a great case to work with. The cable management system (or lack there of) isn't the best, but the airflow is excellent and it handles large video cards. The only issue is that a super long GPU may eat up one of the hard drive bays, but you have six to work with so it wasn't an issue for me, I just utilized different hard drive bays. I have a GTS 250, by the way.

Yeah the cable management can be a bit of a pain, but with a little bit of modding you can get it super clean :). airflow is brilliant and the case looks great. The fans can be a bit loud on high, but I doubt you'd need to set them that high. The top 200mm Big Boy is thin btw, so don't go near it while it's spinning...lots of cases where it broke because somebody accidentally stuck his knuckle in it.

If you get a 5790, you might have to mod one of the hard drive cages. I am not sure if the length is the same as the 1200, but if it is small you will. I think the card almost touches the HDD cage on the 1200.

I have a 902, and I was able to fit my 5970 in just by removing the upper hard drive cage, and keeping my drives in the lower one. I was able to fit the 4870x2 I had in there before without removing the upper hard drive cage, so the OP should be able to fit a GTX260 just fine.

The 900 and 902 are great cases to work with IMO.

i have a 900 with a coolermaster v8. You can still run a side fan if you cut the corner off the frame of the fan as that is what interfers

I have the 902, it has some significant improvements over the 900 and I think it's an excellent case. What are your parent's requirements? If they're anything like my parents then the machine is just an email/internet box, in which case this type of case is not necessary.
