Antec 900 and 2 HD4870's in Crossfire?

I'm looking at getting a pair of HD4870 1 gb graphics cards and running them in Crossfire. I'm also looking at the Antec 900, but want to make sure that they fit in the case before ordering.

Will they fit?

You could just get 4870 X2.
Will a 4870 x 2 card fit?

I need to order this set up, so unfortunately I can't wait. Thanks for offering videogames101.

If the card you choose is <= 11.5" it will fit.
Thank you.

The card that I'm looking at is 10.5". The x2 card is around 11", so that would be a tighter fit.

Can you foresee having any issues with two 10.5" cards? I'd think that the problem would be the length and not the width of the card.

It depends on the mobo slots and whether the card might abut an HD. The cables could be a tight fit. I think it should be doable, though.

My 9800GTX+ is 10.5" and it fits fine in my 900. Just need to make sure that no harddrives are going to be installed in front of the cards or they won't fit.

I'd strongly suggest against the Antec 900.

tight, little room for the install, JFP1 and USB cables are barely the length needed, and the whole "power supply on bottom" thing doesn't work elegantly with either the Antec Neopower HE550 or the Corsair HX520, with the CPU 8pin cable being horrifyingly stretched across the case.

Cable management is, also, well, nearly impossible.

Similarly, the holes for the motherboard standoff don't seem to have been drilled quite right, leading to my cards not mating with the expansion slots properly (on any of 3 motherboards I've had in the case) and thus making me constantly worried that the card will pop out while the system's on and destroy things.

Nice looking, good airflow, decent size, stable, seems durable... but I hate the thing with a passion.

Coolermaster HAF932 has been popular for extremely good airflow, but no removable motherboard tray.

I think I'm going to save up for a Lian-Li V1100 series case.

Notice that it's power supply on bottom, but the motherboard itself is completely inverted such that the connectors are probably still on the "right" side of the motherboard. Best of both worlds:

I found a solution to the 8 pin cpu cable in the 900. I dont know if all video cards are like this, but my 8800GT has a notch at the bottom, close to the edge of the mobo. All I had to do was run the cable under the card up that edge of the mobo, and more wire stretched overtop every thing. Its all neet and tidy now.
