Ok im getting a new system and i have a couple questions, ill start of with my specs im getting:

ASUS A8V Deluxe
ANTEC (USA) 480watt ATX NEO POWER
AMD ATHLON 64 3500+
OCZ PC3700 (466MHz) EB DC Platinum CL3 (2x512)
ASUS V9999 ULTRA DELUXE nVidia GeForce 6800Ultra GPU 256meg
200gb sata + 120gb pata + 40gb pata
DVD+RW, CD-ROM, Floppy
5case fans + cold cathode

My 1st Question is > Will my Power supply be enough to run all this and still have headroom?

My 2nd Question is > Is my OCZ PC3700 memory good for this? or should i go with "OCZ PC3500 434MHz EB DC Platinum CL 2.5 (2X512MB)" or is there another type u suggest? the pc3500 has cl2.5 but pc3700 has cl3, *note* i want to be able to overclock my system around the 250FSB+ mark.

Also does anyone know where i can find ASUS A8V Deluxe **REV2.0** Boards?? i live in australia.

Thnankyou guys.

yes that psu can handle that. but why the 5 case fans? just get a case with 2 120mm fans. yes the pc3700 ram is great. a64's dont really need low latencies.

lol well its not really 5 case fans i gues si just put that down to know if the psu will handle it, my cas eis gonna be a thermaltake Tsunami Case it has 2x120mm fans, 1 front n back, and 1 90mm fan on side panel.

thnx for the feedback BW86

If you already have the OCZ PC 3700, then just keep it. if the memory can't handle it just use a divider to lower its speeds. If you want 1:1 memory you'd want the OCZ EB, but it likes high voltages and i dont know if the Asus board can give that much

ive decided to go with the OCZ Power Stream 520W, even better than the 480 neo power, its probs the best psu.

Is this PSU better than the Neo480?

I was stuck between these two.

yes the ocz power stream is a great deal better and has better features, like the 3 turn dials to adjust the 12v, 3v rails for more or less voltage in a -+5 leeway, and benchmarking proves it has the best stability even at really high loads its completely stable and performs better than alot of other top model PSU.

Read here >> http://www.tweaktown.com/docum...ype=review&dId=700 << for a review roundup on 6 PSU's that are currently the latest and best model for each manufacturer, the OCZ POWER STREAM models come out on top.

That is a nice article, but it doesn't have the Neo or any other good PSU from Antec or Enermax and of course not one from PC Power and cooling.
