Hi.

I've had Antec 300 for over a year now, and I feel the urge to add some new fans to it. The only case fans is the two stock fans that came with the case, 1x 140mm on the top and 1x 120mm at the rear. I see there is place for 2 more fans in the front, which i reckon is 120mm, and 1 on the side. However, I don't know which ones to buy. I've heard some good words about the Enermax T.B. Silence and the Scythe Gentle Typhoon, but I actually have no clue which one to buy. I have a quite large CPU-fan in my Case(Hyper 212+), read somewhere that might be a problem. Do you guys have any suggestions?

In my Antec 300, in addition to the Antec 120mm and 140mm fans set to low I have a Scythe s-flex 800rpm fan and a Scythe slipstream 500rpm fan
They are near silent and have gotten the job done for years through overclocking, hot GPU's, a ton of hardrives and hot summers.

I recently picked up Scythe Kama Flow 2 1400rpm and run it around 800rpm. Its drowned out by Stock cooler master fan on the 212+ (which runs fairly quiet at 900rpm when the CPU is below 50c)

Thanks for the advice, but I went with 2x Yate Loons due to the price and availability in my country. I did not order one for the side panel though, would that be necessary?

Definitely not needed, you're going to see a good amount of improvement with the addition of front intake fans

Hello Jurge,

An additional side fan may help withdraw some heat from the video card/cpu heatsink area. If your Three Hundred has a side vent, it is optional to take advantage of that.

I'm wondering which version of Three Hundred doesn't have a side vent.

Hmmm now there's a thought, currently I don't have a fan on the side of my Antec 300 and I thought that adding another intake (have two in the front) may cause some unwanted turbulence. However as an exhaust it may not be such an issue and while my CPU is fine it's right above my video card which could stand to be a little bit cooler. I have a spare Enermax TB Silence sitting around, I'll have to give it a shot and report back if there's any improvement at all.
