I was wondering after looking at the descriptions at EMS. It says it comes with a p4 connector yet its compatable with standard ATX. Does that just mean its like a p4 adapter? I dunno what a p4 connector looks like but it sounds like its different if it has to be compatable for it... well lmk i'm planing on picking this sucker up instead of the beige. gonna try something new for a change. And yes you guys did talk me into a 400W ps so its probably gonna be a 1040b right now.

thanks
smokey.

If you're referring to the power supply, there's an extra 8? pin plug on a long wire tail like a mini mb connector for the P4. I have one on my enermax & just tuck it away up top.

ATX power connector is 20-pins (that's the base we start with). ATX12V connector is a 4-pin connector which makes it P4 compliant (along with the outputs I believe). We also include the 6-pin Aux power connector which is normally used for Server motherboards. If you don't use a server board or a P4 system you don't need these other connectors so you can tie them off someplace and still use the power supply for ATX2.01 systems.

Hope that helps.
