sweet... I wonder how it really feels to be so thinly separated from that kind of environment. always found it fascinating.

Nothing but a small blizzard. Our Christmas eve was like that. :D Actually, probably not that bad.

Looks like they forgot to close the door at one point though, for there to be frost all over like that lol.

I doubt a small door is able to insulate very well. that room is probably very cold normally.

That could be, especially if it's not a well insulated door. I know we do get some frost inside sometimes on/near doors and windows though not as bad as that video. -40's will do that, -50's even better.

Yes... It's called an arctic entryway. Think of it as similar to a pressure chamber that the astronauts go into when they come back from a space walk to equalize pressure. AEW's allow you to enter the house without directly exposing the interior to the elements.

I've been in condition 1 in Kuparuk. (North Slope Alaska) Interesting...
