We have a class project where we were given an ANSYS file with a bicycle frame. We are supposed to change the crossectional areas of the different elements and pick the material to give the lightest but least expensive frame. How do we link the different cross-sectional areas to the elements? We have 3 different sections defined and we went into Preprocessor -> Modeling -> Move/Modify -> Elements -> Modify Attrib and tried to assign each element the correct cross-section, but it doesn't seem to work. I've tried changing the cross-sections but the solution comes out the same each time.
