Answered (I think)! XP and L5 bridges question (SMP related)...

Just curious....does AMD always cut the L5 bridges on the XP processor to disable SMP? The reason I ask is that I just two XP1900+ AGOGA refurbs from Newegg and the L5 bridge (right most pad) is NOT cut. Can I assume that these processors could be recognized by a dual board (not necessarily stable...just recognized to run DUAL MODE) with not other modifications necessary?

I know that XP's at one time were not cut...I wonder if these are just old enough to be in those batches? 😕

Comments and answers welcome...and thanks in advance! 🙂

I have a pair of 1900+ that have the last L5 uncut. They get recognized as MP. The first few versions of the 1900+ were not disabled.
