Anoying XP only popups, from "messanger service"

HOW CAN I STOP THIS!?!? I get like 4 -10 popups about loosing weaight all the time, but they arent internet windows, they are messanger service windows, what does this mean and why did it start when I upgraded to XP Pro?
 
install a firewall... if your getting these messages you have alot of security problems that need to be rectified

First part...yes. Second part...NOT TRUE. These messages take advantage of a well known service that is a part of Windows NT based OSs. In fact, it functions exactly as intended and the fact that you are getting these messages indicates that the service is running, nothing more. That being said, a firewall is always a good idea.
