Another wood pellet stove question: new stove is already making strange noises

The new pellet stove here has been in use only a few days, and it's now making some strange noises. The best I can describe it is like a grinding, combined with a hissing type sound; at some point, it sounds like there's metal-on-metal vibration. I think it's one of the augers making the sound, because with a blower, I'd expect a rapid, very quickly repeating sound. This sound takes almost a minute and a half to complete a full cycle.
The stove is currently off, so I can't take a recording of it to post, and I have the back panel of it off to look for anything loose.
Anyone ever have anything like this happen? What could be causing this so soon after buying a new stove?

Well, if I had to take a wild freaking shot in the dark, not knowing what the hell a wood pellet stove is or what kind of sound it is...
The heat of the stove has somewhere warped the cheap sheet metal used to make the stove, so now somewhere something in rubbing in the auger mechanism.

Yeah, I was just giving the thing a dry-run; the augers turn, as does the main blower, just not the convection blower. No noise. Maybe it is the heat.


Another discovery - the auger motor assemblies are held in place by, not bolts, not screws, not welds. Plastic wire-ties. Big plastic wire ties.
I'll have to try lighing it up again, and watching the augers go, to see which one makes noise and how often, and if anything vibrates. If it seems that it is the heat warping pieces (though this doesn't seem like very thin metal that was used), perhaps I shall have to have a chat with the people at the hardware store I bought it from.
