another wonderful experience at Com-Puke-SA

Just got back from the Monrovia, CA store and picked up GTA3. But I couldn't get the free hat coz they "couldn't find them." I waited for about 10 minutes for those idiots to find them but they couldn't. They promised to call me back but I kinda doubt that will happen. I think that is simply ridculous and inexcusable. When they advertise something so prominently, they've got to make sure they can deliver. But no, I guess that's just typical Com-Puke-SA modus operandi for you. Oh well, I guess I'll just settle for playing the game instead of wearing a hat with a "R" on it, heh.

what if they happened to run out....? i dunno man, but the monrovia store isn't that great... i've been there a couple times... some of the peole there were idiots...

I was there pretty early, like a bit after 11 AM when they opened. So they cannot have run out and claimed they couldn't find them. I saw many people buy GTA 3 but apparently I was the first one to inquire about the hat.

lol, when they had the gt3 steering wheel for sale i went down to buy one but they had already ran out of them. so i put my name down for a rain check and guess what? no call at all. i love their customer service too!

did u haggle with the manager? maybe u could've verbally wrestled him for a a $5-$10 discount 😛

I didn't have a chance to talk to the manager. He was running around with his flunkies trying to find the hats. LOL.

I think Compusa's always kind of flaky. I got their flyer in the Saturday paper this week, and they had an AMD XP1900+ 1.9 Ghz processor for sale. And that from a store that specializes in the PC market.

i've actually bitched out a manager at that store before because they wouldn't help my sister with her laptop's "warranty." those assholes. because of that, i will never ever buy anything at a compusa again.. no matter how good of a deal..

not only do their markup's suck, but the environment there too. Actually, i bought my first computer there...a Packard bell 133 mhz computer. The salesman Mitch from Novi CompUSA sold me a lemon display. I was familiar with computers, but this one was a real POS. I had not purchased the extended warranty in spite of the manufacturers existing warranty and what i thought at the time was "computer experience", but long story short, for it being our second Packard Bell computer, it certainly was our last. Although CompUSA has a large selection of products (as opposed to a Best Buy or Circuit City), it's not worth the troubles and hassles i go through while shopping there.

Consider me a lost customer.
