Another WOL question

I read the wiki and the user guides and set up WOL on my Gigabyte 965p-ds3 motherboard with the Marvell Yukon adapter. I am able to wake up my computer if I send the magic packet a few minutes after I power off. If I wait any longer, it won't work. Do you guys have any idea what could be the problem here and if I have any chance of getting this to work right?

 
Could be a problem with the Power supply.

I.e., the power to keep the NIC circuit open when the computer is Off goes away after few minutes.
