So here I am, about to buy a laptop. My choices are between a Dothan and an A64 laptop. I know I will be keeping this laptop for about 3 years. So both laptops are just about as fast, but the A64 is hotter, has less battery life and is heavier (which were my deciding factors).
It pretty much boils down to if I will need 64 bit support anytime soon or not. I dont want to be "left behind", but I am wondering if Windows XP64 is going to make much of a difference in my life 😀 Mostly I surf, work on web development projects (scripting, light compiling), watch movies, and other typical PC stuff.
I have pretty much decided on the Centrino laptop, but am I going to be sorry that I didnt get something 64 bit in a year or two?
