i want to install it and use it without a serial until i get my copy from amazon and enter that serial at that point to register it.

thing is, i'm not sure if it can work since i'm in the EU and not sure if the serials are the same
 
that's the worry, it might not be the same one. UK vs US editions etc etc. ah well, it's out next month right? suppose i can wait a little longer
 
UK editions are FULL versions. The upgrades offered by Microsoft in the U.S. a couple of months ago are upgrade versions. The license keys will be different.
 
There are three types:

1. Upgrade Retail

2. Full Retail

3. Full OEM

The edition sold by Amazon US is Upgrade Retail and Full Retail.
