Another web site, is benefiting and making money from anandtech members

There is no rules for that contest whatsoever. So what stops the company from employer winning the contest or company to create fake user with most votes?


I went ahead and e-mailed webmaster of that site about that, shortly got reply indicated that purpose of this contest is to attract traffic and attention to their web site, when i asked whats there to prevent them to cheat or fake the contest and got 0 response.


So I don't see a valid reason why another web site should benefit from Anandtech traffic and that site has lots of banners so it does benefit financially from anandtech traffic.

So what? An AT member has a chance to win a trip. No one is forcing anyone to go to his links and vote for him, our members are just being nice.

Please explain how AnandTech, or anyone at AnandTech, is being negatively affected by this.

Why you decided you needed to take matters into your own hands and e-mail the webmaster, despite the fact that by your own admission there are NO RULES against asking people to vote for you, is beyond me. Because YOU think he's cheating? Well, he's not!
