Another war on ants -- They're coming under the carpet!

They used to be coming from the bathroom, but we plugged up all the holes, so they went upstairs to our neighbor.

Now they're coming under the carpet in my room. I vacuumed up a ton of them, and used some duct tape to cover up where they were coming in the most. I'm heading to Albertsons right now to get some liquid bait and some raid.

Anyone have any recommendations? After annihilating the ants, I'm gonna use rubbing alcohol to get rid of their trail smell.

I had a bad ant problem once. Got industrial traps, constantly spraying. Then I watered one of my plants and they all came charging out! I screamed like a little school girl. Took the plant outside and hosed them all off! Never saw an ant again.

Do you know what kind they are? We have had small pharoah ants. Goes without saying remove ALL access to food for them. In terms of poisons terro.com is the only company that sells anything that worked for me. There I'd recommend a hearty number of liquid baits. Unfortunately our infestation was so bad that truly I could not poison them fast enough. In the end I hooked up a moat system for the cat food and cut their food supply off. I tag teamed it with a professional insecticide treatment around the entire house and since they've been nowhere inside.
