Thx and sticky. But I've heard of Bagle before...

Now, to buy either this or Kaspersky... hmm.....

Come on, people. New viruses like this come out every day. No need to have a thread for each of them...

Are you saying that Bob Barker's a virus writer now? 😛

Just got this 20 min. ago. I almosted ran the html file, since I was discussing pricing of some servers with the person this mail was listed as coming from, so it actually made sense to receive such a file. 'course the .exe made me realize that it's likely a virus.

Received it this morning and Norton did not pick up on it.

Heh, I just received an infected email and submitted it to Norton since it looked highly suspicious and Norton's heuristics didn't pick up on it.

^^^

there are currently over 67,000 individual viruses that Symantec checks for , if you figure the oldest ones are about 15 years old (some old DOS boot viruses that could be found on a floopy disk), lets see , 67,000 divided by 15 years, divided by 365 days
um, that is more than 12 viruses a day on average

so shall we have 12 new virus thread each day, i think not, y'all go visit mcafee or symantec's web site everyday and revel in the new viruses, no need to post in OT about them

we got hit with this at work, but this time it isnt to bad we caught it early. and blocked all zip attachments

So why even go to ATOT, just do the surfing yourself on any issues. 😕

As stated above, my virus scanner on my email server picked it up. I use ClamAV among others, but how is it that they can put out definitions to block the viruses/worms within hours or a day and Symantec and others can take days (and you have to pay for them!)

Why post anything? Somebody somewhere posted everything already so why bother at all? 😛
