Hey... thats where you get your meat so PFFT! 😉

lol, V5 6k for $1250... sure its a collectors item, but it aint a mona lisa.

Not like any of the people who'd buy a V5 6K would have anything else to spend the money on. I mean, they probably still live in their parent's basement, drive the family car, and the closest relationship they have with a female is the synthesized voice at the drive-up ATM.

Oh goody, another voodoo 6000 thread 😛 This particular model is one of the older revisions, with the older style power supply hookup. Add to the fact that he can't verify it works good, I'd be surprised if it gets anywhere close to.... well.... let's just see how much this one fetches 😉

The last two 6K cards sold on ebay were from charity contests held yearly at Nvidia. I think they have different departments that compete in who can raise the most money. And turns out some employees (ex-3dfx I would guess) are willing enough to donate some.

its a collectors item numb nuts.
To about 6 people in the world who think it's worth a lot of money to have something that would have wound up in 3dfxs trash.

I like the
Yes, this is an (the?) original company flag from 3dfx Texas...it is HUGE! I walk into my office every morning greeted by its humbling presence. It flew proudly above the company headquarters until 3dfx's close.
and
I believe the card can work, but I have not been able to get this card to work.
parts the best.

I was wondering where you were, Rollo! 🙂 I enjoyed the last thread so I'm going to have to follow this one as well. 😀

"...$20000.00 cash for my robot....my girl robot. This'll be the best prom ever". 🙂 😛

oops rollo is back, I should not have started this thread lol

anywayz, 3dfx flag is cool ,
i wonder if he would just sell the flag,

the rev 2 2600 is a pretty common V5 6K though.

edmundoab, I see the only thing missing in your collection is Voodoo1 6MB variety.
I happen to have it, its Canopus Pure3D. 🙂

Edit: found a review here. Good nostalgia trip.

Does your V5 6K work?

Ok interesting question,
I didn't bother to test it coz I had to remove my HDD slot before I could insert it to the AGP slot,
furthermore i've deleted win98 lol
shame on me hehehe 😉
Well ....if I ever get it to work,
its no where near my Radeon 9700pro

isn't that a Voodoo Rush chipset? ( 6MB )
if thats the case,
I already have the Hercules and Jazz , if its a Voodoo 1 6MB,

Don't think I have the cash to spend at the moment. I'm thinking of stopping right here as I already need a display cabinet for them.
There are about 2 cards which I seek most. And will beg or borrow cash to get em

1. Voodoo 5 5000 32MB ( i know one guy who has it, but he won't sell it lol )

2. Voodoo 4 4000 16MB

both are beta cards

right now.. the retail cards in boxes are exposed to dust while the OEM cards are protected in display cases.
