Another undeserving car owner..

eBay

Here is a brand new Tremec 6 speed manual transmission out of a 2003 Cobra. It WILL fit 1999, 2000,2001,2002,2003 4.6L DOHC & SOHC Mustang. It was removed when the car had only 50 miles. I had the dealership remove it and install an automatic for my wife.

Why does that make him undeserving? Maybe his wife has arthritis or something? Or maybe she just likes automatics.

ZV

What a dumbass - I don't think someone would go through all that trouble and money just for an automatic.

Dude...this IS a WOMAN we're talking about here....a manual transmission is a MECHANICAL thing...women look at manual trannys' and they implode out of sheer fear of being shifted by a woman...kinda like watching the executioner raise his axe over your neck...:Q

I learned how to drive a stick shift in under two hours. Whoop-de-friggin-doo. As I've already pointed out, some people cannot drive manual transmissions because of arthritis, and some people simply live in the city and don't want to deal with a stick-shift every day. That doesn't make them any less deserving of the car. I'm seriously sick of people who think that anyone who doesn't have a stick-shift doesn't "deserve" their car.

ZV <-- Only owns vehicles with manual transmissions.

I have a friend, who'se father converted his Porsche 928 to auto.
OK, now that one I don't understand. Mainly because a 5-speed 928 is currently worth more than an automatic 928. He could have sold his 928 5-speed and bought a nicer 928 automatic. A 5-speed 928 is almost impossible to find, whereas automatic 928's are all over the bloody place. Still, his car and his choice.

You must not live in a highly populated area with long rush hours. I do. Washington, DC traffic sucks and I was quite happy to finally switch over to automatics in both of my vehicles. Up until this point, I have had at least one manual transmission vehicle for the past 18 years of driving. However, I had reached the point where I had enough. Strictly automatics from this point forward for me.

yeah but this was done a long time ago, before the 928 was considered a "classic", I mean when it was still in production in the 80s or osmething. The car in question is a 70s model or something like that. All I know is that its really old.

He was being sarcastic. 😛

I drive in traffic every day and I don't have a problem with my manual - it keeps me entertained while I am waiting for people to move out of my way 😉

I wouldnt buy it anyways. The OEM trannys out of the 2003 Cobras arent all the over engineered from what I've read. Course, I havent had the luxury of owning one so who knows for sure....
