Another thing I have noticed here.

Quite often, you have a "liberal" * poster who posts something and all the "conservatives" go after him and it takes at least a day before one of his friends comes in to fight for his position. It is the same when you have a "conservative" poster who posts something and all the "liberals"come and beat on him for a day.

Then you have the other type of thread where someone posts a cartoon or video and all the people of similar attitude come and post for a day or two before you get any people disagreeing.

This is just something I have notice in politics.

* Replace with what ever term you feel like using.

Yeah, I went to a Brian Regan concert last week, and thought it was nice that hundreds of people were all laughing together, without any regard for what political party each person belonged to. I enjoy the heated political debates on P&N, but in my personal life (my real life), I prefer not to know someone's political affiliation, to avoid the risk of thinking differently of someone I would normally really like.

heh heh...Regan.

A friend of mine and I were talking the other day. Let's send our comedians over to the Middle East. Get people laughing. Loosen them up a bit. Drink a beer or some wine. ;)

I know exactly what you mean. I tend to STFU around here because I am definently in the minority as far as political opinion goes.

the delayed response from the opposition is the "think before you speak" in all of us. especially on an internet chat forum as heated as this one, where things can be quoted and archived, analyzed over and over etc. I'm sure anyone whos been here a while has learned that a hasty post is often the most slammed post. A few burns and you learn to double check your facts and figures before posting.

Edit: well, some people never learn, and still post whatever they pull out of thier a$s

Who cares? It's an internet forum. Sometimes you're right, sometimes you're wrong. No one in real life keeps tabs on how often you get beat down in ATP&N so just throw it out there.

I meant in real life. Texas is the land of Republicans.
