Another stupid flying car idea.

The article even mentions more than 100 failed attempts at this. I simply see no point to it. It still needs a runway and surely if you need a car at the other end you can rent one or borrow one or something similar. I cannot imagine I'd want to be involved in a crash in traffic in a "plane" that "drives" around.

The only good idea on this concept is the skoeler <sp> flying car because at least that doesn't require an airport. Of course, that project is absolutely dead in the water, despite the vaporware thing having its own website and I think even taking deposits or something.

Flying cars, hah. I remember reading about em in Popular Mechanics when I was a kid. Back then, I thought for sure we would of had them by this time.

Then I started driving, and learned that 95% of the driving population can't handle even two dimensions properly and we'll never see flying cars. Damn you Popular Mechanics! You tell us of all this cool stuff we could have, but left out that we never will because of the 'build a better idiot' factor.

I'm waiting for the first time someone runs out of gas in a flying car. As great of an idea that flying cars are, people as a whole just aren't responsible enough to use them.

The only reason you'd want a flying car is so you could fly over all those other fuckers that are always clogging up the roads when I'm trying to drive somewhere. Except, if flying cars actually existed, those same assholes would be clogging up the skies and crashing into my roof while putting make-up on.

No, the problem flying cars are trying are trying to solve has already been solved. Its called a tank. When it can't drive right over the assholes it can blow them up and then drive over them.
