Another speaker question.

I have just been using some radio shack headphones for a few months now. Before that it was complete silence for about 3-4 for months. My Altec LAnsing ACS45's (i think that was the mod #) died.
I am now thinking of getting some decent speakers to replace them. I want at least 4 satellites and one sub. I'd like either a physical (not software) desktop control unit or maybe one that houses a bay in my tower.
Just to give an idea a buddy of mine has some older FPS2000's and they sound pretty good to me. I just don't like that they only have that one external knob for volume control. I want to be able to adjust more stuff than volume.
Any suggestions?

Try the Boston Acoustics BA-4800 if they aren't out of your price range.
Excellent quality sound, best sounding 4.1 setup in my view. They have a very neutral sound.

If you like exagerated bass and very bright highs the Klipsch ProMedias are really the only way to go, but the BA-4800 have a much more neutral natural sound, which is in my opinion much better.

Thanks. I will check on the price. ANyone else?
EDIT

Also, does anyone know offhand what the height/width of the satellites are? I am pretty tight on space on my desk so I want to get some pretty small ones.
