Okay
Got my router up and running with the newest firmware. It connects to my isp just fine, I'm currently connected to the router with the computer that I'm typing on so I know the router is working. My problem is that my second computer (My Rig) will not connect to the router. My computer is running Win2k and it can't seem to obtain an IP address. When I reboot it takes forever for the little icon to popup in the tray and when I look to see what IP it obtained it is just your basic 169..... ip address meaning that it hasn't connected to my router. when I type "ipconfig /renew" it just sits there with a blinking cursor. I know the cat5 cabling is okay I've been using it all day today before my router came tonight from UPS. Anyone had a problem like this in Win2K. Our old computer which I'm using now had no problems although its running Win98SE. I need suggestions, anybody.
