Hi. Running at 3.9ghz day to day. 4.0ghz can get to 22sec in superpi before it locks...should be fixed when the waterparts arrive! Thats gonna be soooo cool...4.0ghz-4.2ghz on water....wow I can't wait!

This is on air with my thermalright sp-94 cooler and dead silent panaflo l1a.

I don't think thats the actual vcore...I've got it at 1.725 in the BIOS. In fact I'm pretty sure it's not the voltage cause I had my 2.4C MO @ 1.75 volts in bios and 1.85 volts in windows and it idled at 30C with no stability issues at all.

No doubt, ever consider seeing what it will do on 1.65v? Even 1.70v would drastically reduce your chances of having to buy another processor in the next few months.

edit: Assuming, of course that's actual voltage.
 
Asus board overvolt to start with,if i were you I would not go over 1.6v with that board.

Just a suggestion,you can do whaever you want with it after all it's your cpu to do with as you wish.

DEFINATELY use stock voltage if it can run 3750 mhz

the extra 250 is not worth the extra volage esp considering how it doesnt do much at all when you get to speeds that high

What he said, run at 3.75Ghz. To expand on "Northwood Sudden Death Syndrome": basically if the voltage is high (for P4s anyway, that's not high for Athlons) they will suddenly die after a while.

yeah, personally, i only run 1.7v because im on Vapor Phase change cooling. even then, i only do it for benchmarks. 🙂
