Another screw you ebay/paypal rant

Its a weak rant, but its a rant...

I bought a copy of Super Princess Peach for the DS for my 4 year old, I wait for 4 weeks before i receive it, and when i do its the most obvious fake in the world, ink is faded on the cover art, game sticker is crooked and the text is all....engrished.

Contacted ebay and paypal, both seem to think its the others problem, finally paypal said they will deal with it and when they make their ruling, they say they will refund but only after i return the item!! WTF, they want me to send back a blatent copy of a game!?

I called them up to confirm this was the case and the agent said yes it was correct. I asked him if he understood that this was copyright infringement and he said sure. I said you understand why i dont want to send this back and he agrees but said that is policy.

Screw you ebay, Screw you paypal.

25 Bucks, it isnt so much about the money as it is me wanting to take down the guy selling this crap. It was a gift for my kids 4th birthday...

Also, file a complaint with the U.S. Postal Service if that is whereby the item was delivered to you as it could constitute mail fraud.

Charge back. I have done this before with a fraudulent seller. I told them paypal was giving me the run around, and explained the fraud. In my case it was an item that was not as exactly pictured and not as described.

My CC company promptly refunded the $$, and paypal didn't dump me for it either.

Sounds like your only course of option then is just to file various disputes, as you're not going to send illegal software through the mail, and hope something happens.

still can't really pass judgement since you won't link to the auction, however to save $10 on a game that will ship from a known place that sells counterfeit items with strange terms in the "description" you have pasted ... i'd say just take your $25 lesson and move on.

Mailing the cd back were the terms of getting your money back. If you do not want to agree to those terms, do not complain.

Obvious signs this was a scam made bold. I won't say you deserve to be taken, but you really need to pay more attention and start asking questions before buying something.
