Romney reminds me of Kerry...
Will say anything to get votes, no idea where he stands on the issues, flip flops, can't give a straight answer, looks fake and done up, wealthy and from Massachusetts.

Am I the only one noticing the similarities?

Gee, it's nice to see you thinking for yourself and not falling into the silly political stereotypes.

I thought you were a smart guy, what's with this "flip flopping" crap? Intelligent people change their minds...and while I might not LIKE Romney (or Kerry for that matter), they strike me as way more intelligent than a lot of the rest of the field. What is it about stubborn idiots that so attracts people?

The problem is that when this "mind changing" aligns with political expedience.

I have no problem with people changing their positions as they become more informed, and also understanding the other side of the argument. Flip flopping in my eyes is pandering to a certain audience depending on who you are talking to or trying to get support from.

2004 was the first year the democrats used targeted advertising like many corporations are doing now (see google), where they will advertise what people are searching/looking for. Kerry was sending out emails and informations to religious groups talking about his roots as a choir boy and how he has christian morals and at the same time talking to other groups with totally opposite ideals and getting them excited about the exact opposte thing he advocated in the other advertisements. That's how he got the flip-flopper title. You should know better than anyone i do not support partisan bullshit and i don't pander to republican or democrat stereotypes. Kerry was an idiot, Romney is an idiot, democrats and republicans are one in the same.

I see what you're saying, but sometimes I think it's a little too easy to paint everyone and everything with that brush. While I won't say Kerry didn't do exactly what you're describing, I don't think his every action was motivated by that as some people suggest. It's a tempting trap to fall into, but I don't think all politicians are idiots or fit neatly into one stereotype or another. But that doesn't mean Romney and Kerry don't ;)

What is it with people with Massachusetts. They're obviously smart, why lie (flip-flop) and screw up your chances?

Probably just aspiration to the Kennedy standard.

Everyone out that way wants to be a Kennedy.

No, I don't like him either. In the first debate he sounded just like Bush.

From my reading of the article this is about a Romney aid, not Romney. Do we know he approved or knew about this?
