U9 Infinity Eternal
Unlike the Titans of Ether U9 Redemption title, IE is being built on the Oblivion engine instead of the Morrowind engine. IE also aims to remake U9:A keeping its original storyline and ending. Redemption aims to redo the storyline and ending to make it more in-line with previous Ultima titles.

For those that don't remember, U9:A was a text book example of a publisher fvcking up a game, both mechanically and through poor support. For starters, the game was ripped from the womb at least a year early. Some claim that the game had just entered beta status when they shipped it. Then, after the bad press from the borked game flooded the Origin support sites, and after only a few patches, they declared the game finished and closed down the support site.
The last official patch was 1.18, however, a member of the dev team anonymously released a 1.19 patch which fixed some more issues. There was also a community patching project as well.
Its definitely a sad state of affairs for a game when the community has to fix what the publishers screwed up.
Personally, I am looking forward to both the Redemption mod and the IE mod. I tried the U5 Lazarus mod, but I didn't want to pay for Dungeon Siege. I did play it briefly using my brother's DS disks, and it was decent. The original U5 was before my time though, so I don't have any basis of comparison.
